The Center For Family History and Geneology (CFHG) Web Team supports the mission to provide extraordinary mentored-learning experiences for students as well as quality online research and resources for the public. The Lab team maintains the computer lab in the Kimball Tower and the TA labs in the Joseph F Smith Building. We offer basic computer helps in the lab as well as any short term scheduling needs you may have. We can organize exams in the basement of the Kimball Tower for classes and exam reviews. Call to ask about the software we provide, like MPlus or Stata.

The Software Management Team assists faculty and staff in identifying and implementing software solutions tailored to their specific needs. The team oversees the management of FHSS software and ensures compliance with licensing requirements. Additionally, it maintains the FHSS Ticketing System and Knowledge Base to provide streamlined support and accessible information across the college.

The Computing Services Systems Team is responsible for managing the varying resources for the college. This involves maintaining servers, deploying software, imaging lab computers, and assisting the Support Team with specialized tech support. They work to ensure that security and integrity is maintained throughout the college's IT infrastructure.

In 2024, BYU deployed Workday, a campus-wide system for managing human and financial resources. In 2025, BYU is deploying Oomnitza, a campus-wide system for managing computer and physical assets. The Inventory Team organizes and leads FHSS's part of the migration to Oomnitza.
